Since Blogtember (blog post every day in September) was a complete fail and hardly posted on Instagram either, which means no “Top 6 IG Posts for September”, instead I will share a few snaps from moments of the month to give a teeny tiny bit of what I’ve been up too.
Going by my recent blog post relating to low moods, there have been some highlights, one being that I finally got back into exercise after taking some time out: kicking it off with yoga (fingers crossed I stick with it!!!), which has already massively helped in breath work and eventually in flexibility, because I am as stiff as a bored, no lie, and whilst I am at the yoga studio I also get to enjoy these incredible views of the city skyline.
The top photo is during the day, and the one below is in the evening. You can see the Petronas Towers, KL Tower and the Merdeka 118 Tower.
Since blogging about my recent trip to The National Art Gallery, I was lucky enough to go back again soon after with friends’ and swiftly understood one visit ain’t enough time to fully immerse in the multifariousness of artwork, the other bonus from this lovely day out was Tea and Cake from my favourite cake store in town, Jaslyn Cakes.
Prime example; Artwork that I passed by on the last trip which I had completely missed, a cat in the stamps!
Coming to this part of town is still a winner: I have explored every (I think) Lil corner of this area, yet I never tire of the place; aside from Kuala Lumpur’s famous Petaling Street Market, you can find some incredible mouth-watering food spots, cafes, murals and art installations.
The photo above: Chinese Muslim food from Mee Tarik Restaurant.
The photo above; When I shared this photo on my stories, it was titled Past vs Future. We are still in the Petaling Street area here with the old Chinese shop lots, and the backdrop, once completed, will be the second tallest building in the world, Merdeka 118.
The photo below: I have made a REEL from our first visit to this recently modernised 113yr old Chinese pastry shop, Fung Wong Biscuits.
I never thought taking the train would become such a novelty since I took it pretty much every day in London and now my principal mode of transport in Kuala Lumpur is Grab!
The photo below: trying out a friends’ new Teppanyaki Restaurant Yokai TTDI, we obviously ordered the Wagyu, and it was delish! REEL
My two little fur babies have this magical ability to summon my presence, which is beyond invaluable on days when my mind is fully occupied and wandering off to other made-up dimensions.
The photo above is Ninja (male), and the photo below is Nayla (female).
Another day, another café! The photo above was my first visit to a café near where we live; it was ok-ish.
I’ve been enjoying the work shared by the writer Jeff Brown (below), his words resonate; If only I could articulate emotions and thoughts as beautifully and poetically as he does.
Wishing you a Happy October
Till Next Time
