What a privilege it is to say I have been to Langkawi twice this year; it has swiftly become a favourite for short getaways. The second time we went to Langkawi, we took a one and half hour boat ride to a small island called Ko Lipe, a Thai island in the Andaman Sea, where it has shallow, crystal clear waters, absolutely stunning.
My recent posts on Langkawi:

Beauty & Hair
I was on the hunt for a new concealer after finally finishing my Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer which I’m sure, actually, scrap that, I know was way past it’s expiry date! I did go into Sephora, but they never had the shades I was looking for, so ended up in Watsons, which is equivalent to Superdrug in the UK, and after a few swatches I landed on L’Oreal. L’Oreal , is not a brand I would naturally be drawn to, I am still on the lookout as, so if anyone can recommend something along the same lines.
What I Watched
Cinema
Creed III – “Still dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed is thriving in his career and family life. When Damian, a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy resurfaces after serving time in prison, he’s eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring.”
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – “Daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history. Accompanied by his goddaughter, he soon finds himself squaring off against Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who works for NASA.”
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – “Ethan Hunt and the IMF team must track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins.”
Netflix
The Swimmers – “Two Syrian sisters flee their war-torn home in Damascus, swim for hours in choppy Mediterranean seas to reach Greece as asylum seekers before going on to compete at the Rio Olympic Games.”
They Cloned Tyrone – “A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy.”
Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case – “British woman Lucie Blackman goes missing in Tokyo, sparking an international investigation. However, as the evidence begins to pile up, the police begin to worry that a serial criminal is on the loose.”
Podcast
“Dr Pelz is a fasting, keto and detox expert, she is a leader in alternative health and a pioneer in the fasting movement. She has worked with a wide range of high-profile clients from Olympic athletes, to Academy Award-winning actors, and Silicon Valley CEOs.” – The Diary of a CEO.
Be prepared; this is a lengthy episode; I had to break it up over two days. I thoroughly enjoyed it, they covered several topics, and I found the part where Dr Pelz speaks on hormones relating to menstruating and menopause extremely informative; I kind of wished they had delved more into that subject, anyhow; It only means I can go away to find more about her and her work.
My Blog & Socials
I completely fell into the trap of joining Threads and slightly regretting it now.
What do you think of it? It’s been a couple of months, and, yeah, I don’t know.
Amongst all the memes and quotes, there have been engaging topics of convo ….we see.
Most Read Blog Post
From March until now, my most-read blog post has been 8 Dress Rental Services in Kuala Lumpur.
Top IG post
It was my June recap Reel, which had the highest reach and was one for the memory bank as it featured friends visiting from London, also a teeny tiny kitten we rescued from our carpark and stole my heart.
Spotlight
Keeping in the theme of menstruation, I feel like I’ve been following this woman for a while since a friend shared her IG profile.
Le’Nise Brothers is a registered nutritionist and author of You Can Have a Better Period. Alongside her Instagram account, she also hosts a podcast called Period Story, where she brings guests on to discuss the obvious “Periods”; again, another reason why I love these topics, as it relates to me as a woman, the importance of menstrual health and having a true understanding and appreciation for the function of our bodies.
She shares useful tips on her Instagram, and her podcast is more conversational and relative to the guests she has on.
And that is my March to July roundup.
What is one thing which has stood out for you last month or even this year? Mine would have to be the most recent, and that is moving home. Although it’s all the apparent things; tiring, stressful, discovering how much crap you have, plus it not being the best time to move (not by choice), in the end, we’re in a new space, fresh energy and most importantly a roof over our head and food in the fridge!
Till Next Time
