Before we get into this post, I have to add my two cents on the recent controversy on Instagram (if you haven’t heard, here is a link). I like so many on the platform that takes time to curate and share content are becoming more and more frustrated with the constant updates: the way the algorithm more or less works against you, this big push for Reels which then means a lesser reach on photos, and most recently scrolling through my homepage, I keep seeing a bunch of posts from people I don’t even follow, which is all good as I have discovered some amazingly talented and inspiring profiles, but, is that not the point of the discovery page? I would like to see my family and friends’ posts plus, it still irks me when they removed posts being published in chronological order, I know!
Hence the significant push on videos makes total sense, with this month’s Top 6 being an all-REELS takeover. July, you have been an absolute whirlwind, one of the highlights was the two of us (hubby and I) finally taking that much-needed beach holiday to Phuket in Thailand,……..take me back!!!

Any thoughts on all the Instagram updates? Has it changed the way you share and interact with content on there? I bit the bullet and joined TikTok still, undecided if it’s the right platform for me and if I’m too old for it, HA!
